The ability to bend a person’s will, persuade them to do just about anything with a flash of his eyes. Some strong-minded individuals can resist this completely, but most people give in eventually. His pupils dilate and his eyes get a bit glowy, as seen in his headshot~ (Otherwise known as the-thing-that-cats-do-to-make-you-pet-them-or-give-them-food-because-they-know-they’re-cute face)

Body Type: Pretty pale, ginger hair but no freckles, really green eyes, a scar over his left one. Skinny and short, alarmingly so. Cha boi’s gotta get some more protein in his diet.
Clothing: He doesn’t really mind wearing anything, though of course he likes his boots. His pants are usually tight so as to fit nicely in said boots. Baggy sweaters and soft blankets are always nice.

Nico is probably the least serious person one could expect to meet. While he doesn’t necessarily try to hurt others, he usually ends up doing so to get what he wants. And what he wants is insurance, people to owe him favours, to have his back in case he needs it. For that, he needs to give out favours first, and he’s very good at that. He uses people, to put it bluntly. One flirtatious wink and men are usually putty in his hands, saying yes to any sort of “favour” he is willing to give.

Despite this, he is not one to get very close to a particular person, he likes the distance. Getting too close to a person opens one up to pain and weakness in his opinion. He’s generally pretty submissive to other’s wants, but has a very easy switch to become defensive if he’s started to lose control over a situation, luckily he’s pretty small and fast. Or if that doesn’t work, he always has his rapier handy.

But he could still make a loyal friend, slowly, over time. He’s kind of stuck in one place at the moment, so running away from those trying to get close to him isn’t so easy. Those who manage to get to that point with him would see that he’s kind, and a jokester, and he’ll still steal your wallet if you’re not looking--

Nico was born in Verona, Italy to a faunus mother and a human father. This sort of relationship was considered disgusting and taboo, as faunus were thought of as lower to humans and were heavily marginalized. Nico’s father was a rich man, with a large house and a lot of connections, while his mother was one of his housemaids. One forbidden fling later and oops, Nico’s mother found herself in an awful situation. She carried on with work as usual for a few months before she took her leave, going off to the city of Verona next door to live with her family as she had her baby, desperately trying to keep this all a secret from Nico’s father. Unfortunately for her, he and the other house workers had taken notice of her baby bump, and he was furious to find that she had vanished with his child. Being a man of power, he had connections to people that could erase Nico’s mother from existence. And Nico, being only a couple of months old, a reminder of his father’s disgust, and a faunus no less, was left on the steps of an orphanage.

He stayed there for a few years until he was sent to a foster home, and then another, and another. But faunus kids didn’t get adopted, they were simply unwanted. After he had turned eleven, Nico had had enough, and he ran away from his foster home at the time, towards a life of...Danger. Freedom, but mostly danger. The streets were a difficult place for a little eleven year old faunus, and Nico soon learned that nothing he needed to survive was free. So he made friends, ran errands, sent messages for people; anything he could do to be owed something in return, food, water, shelter, etc. And this all worked for a few years, he got by convincing people to let him do some task in exchange for survival.

By the age of fourteen, he found out what faunus were really only good for.

Faunus were not only heavily discriminated against, but they were also heavily sexualized. And he had no problem with sinking to that level for the sake of survival, luring in those poor, lonely souls with a little help from his flashy eyes before...well, you know the rest. Some of them didn’t even want that, some just wanted to hit him, beat him up, unleash their anger on a species that was below them. It didn’t matter, as long as he got what he wanted. He was never one to stay long, though, quickly leaving whatever shabby motel was used in the middle of the night with another wallet in hand. Sure, he may have been ruining lives a little bit, but they ultimately made the choice to trust him, and that was their mistake.

This worked wonderfully for about a year before...an incident. There was one man, one who somehow always managed to find him again after their escapades, and even though he had been robbing him blatantly, he still came back for more. If he didn’t mind being stolen from then Nico wouldn’t refuse his sick desires. But those desires went too far one night, and they didn’t accept no as an answer, and with a struggle and a scratch to the eye, Nico panicked and reached for the closest thing he could, his rapier (stolen, of course) and with a thrust forwards, the man stopped. Finally, he stopped, and Nico was left to run away from it all in fear of being jailed. From Italy, his system, his life.

Two months later, he found himself in the forest outside of the school during winter’s break, found and taken in by the combat training teacher, Mirage. Who he’s totally going to seduce someday~
